Jessie Heath Scholarship
Education is important to the family. In 2017 we launched the Jessie Heath Scholarship in honor of the patriarch of the family. Every year we award a recipient(s) with an annual scholarship of $500 each at a participating college.

Scholarship Criteria
- Be registered to attend the 2018 reunion, and
- Have attended at least 2 of the past 5 HPS reunions, and Be a member of the HPS family, and
- Be a High School Senior with an acceptance letter to a college, university or any institution of higher learning
Application Process
- Submit a copy of your acceptance letter; and
- Create a family tree showing how you are related to the Heath, Pittman or Smith side of the family; and
- Draft an essay (minimum 500 words) on the following topic:
What does the tradition of having the HPS Family Reunion mean to you and how can you contribute to its success in the future?
